Why Validate Email Addresses?
Email validation helps ensure that you're collecting valid email addresses for your mailing list, reducing bounce rates and improving your sender reputation. It also helps prevent typos and fraudulent sign-ups.
Our Validation Methods
Our tool uses multiple layers of validation to thoroughly check email addresses:
- Format Check: Verifies that the email follows the proper syntax (username@domain.com).
- Domain Check: Confirms that the domain has valid MX records that can receive email.
- SMTP Verification: Communicates with the mail server to check if the mailbox exists without sending an email.
- Delivery Test: Sends a test email to verify the address can actually receive mail.
Understanding Results
The validation score represents how many tests the email passed. An address is generally considered valid if it scores 75% or higher, meaning it passed most of our validation checks.
Limitations
While our tool is comprehensive, some email servers may not respond to SMTP verification attempts, and temporary server issues can affect results. Additionally, some systems may have strict spam filters that block test emails.
